Almost done. One more page to go! :D

The biomes featured here are freshwater lake (top left,) river (top right,) saltwater lake (bottom left,) and swamp (bottom right.)

Aaaand I just want to clear a few things up now while I'm here XD the difference between a freshwater lake and saltwater lake should be obvious (fresh water vs. salt water, duh,) but a saltwater lake is different from an ocean because it's a LOT smaller. Salt lakes are completely surrounded by land. Anything living in it is kind of stuck there, unlike the ocean where animals can travel all over the world if they wanted to. Also just to clarify, those tall white mountain thingies in the saltwater lake are salt deposits (like what you'd find in the Dead Sea, which is not really a sea, but a lake!) It's not ice :meow:

And, referring to my previous environments sheet [link] a swamp is different from a freshwater marsh just based on where they're found. Marshes, in the way that I'm using them, are found in more temperate climates. We have marshes up here in good ol' Wisconsin =P Swamps are more tropical, like what you'd see in the Florida Everglades. Both are freshwater.

And then the difference between a marsh/swamp and a freshwater lake, in the way I'm using them, is that lakes are a lot deeper. There isn't a lot of vegetation that sticks out of the surface in a freshwater lake, while in marshes and swamps you have trees or grass that usually grow out of the water because it's only a few feet deep.

Alright, that is all :) the next page will have the last four biomes, all from the ocean. There are a lot more than four biomes in the ocean, but for simplification purposes, I narrowed it down to the "main" ones.

This is so freaking late, but I'm gonna saw it anyway: This is an awesome way to practice environments, and its really neat to see how many environments there are in the world!
