Shadow Commission

WOO! Yeah, it's really late for me (about midnight at the time of this upload ) but I got so absorbed into this that I just HAD to finish it before going to bed! And I always have to post finished Deviations right when I'm done with them otherwise... I feel weird XD I don't know how to explain it.

Anyway, this was a point commission for *emilkac of her character, Shadow, flying over a body of water Tried a new technique on the top of the water this time by using this tutorial: [link] I still have to practice a bit with it, but I had a fun time trying it out I hope you like it!!

I've also been working on a new shading style! (Again!) It's kind of a mix between the soft cell shading I've been using and the method I used before (like this: ) Let me just say that for a while now, I've been feeling... Not happy with my artwork I guess... I felt like there was something... Missing? I don't know XD But after messing around the last few days, I realized what I didn't like was the cell shading. So after watching some youtube videos and reading some tutorials, I figured out how to use my previous shading method (the not cell-shaded one) but with the same brush I use to cell-shade. Kind of confusing but yeah I like how this looks a lot smoother. And not quite as cartoony. I'll probably be shading like this from now on
